Basta, Baher A., MD, FACP

Dr. Baher A. Basta completed his undergraduate degree, General Certificate of Education, from University of London, England. He earned a medical degree at University of Alexandria in Egypt. Dr. Basta completed an Internal Medicine residency through Eastern Virginia Medical School, Norfolk, Virginia and a fellowship in Nephrology with University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, North Carolina.

Dr. Basta is board certified in Internal Medicine and a Fellow of the American College of Physicians. He is a member of the American Medical Association, American College of Physician Executives, American Society of Nephrology, National Kidney Foundation and Renal Physicians Association.

After practicing medicine in Egypt, Dr. Basta traveled to the United States to pursue his goal of providing patients in all stages of kidney disease with excellent, professional care. He focuses on helping patients through early identification and prevention, and works closely with the patient’s physician and specialty team in providing continuity of care.

Dr. Basta joins TPMG Nephrology on September 1, 2016. He welcomes new patients and referrals to his practice.
