Golikeri, Sarita G., MD

Dr. Sarita Golikeri completed her undergraduate and graduate degree from University of Chicago, and earned her Doctor of Medicine at St. George’s University in Grenada. She completed her residency in family medicine in her home state of New Jersey at Somerset Medical Center, and her fellowship in geriatric medicine at University of Pittsburgh. Dr. Golikeri is board certified in Family Medicine and Geriatrics.

Dr. Golikeri moved to the Williamsburg area with her husband, Dr. Vijay Subramaniam (TPMG Lung Specialist of Williamsburg/October 2014), and practiced medicine at Fort Eustis in Newport News, VA, providing care for active and retired military personnel. Prior to joining TPMG Colonial Family Medicine, she practiced medicine at Olde Towne Medical Center in Williamsburg.

Her special interests include preventive care in the young, and young at heart, treatment of chronic diseases including diabetes, hypertension, dementia, high cholesterol, asthma and obesity. Her fellowship training in geriatrics enables her to focus on prevention and treatment of disorders related to aging. Dr. Golikeri’s motto is, “It is better to prevent trouble than to treat it.”

Dr. Golikeri’s personal interests include running, nutrition and wellness and maintaining an active lifestyle, which she brings to her patients.
