Romero, Cynthia, MD

Dr. Cynthia Romero received her Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology with a minor in biology and economics at the University of Virginia. Upon graduating, she attended medical school at Eastern Virginia Medical School. Her residency was completed at Riverside Family Practice Program through the Medical College of Virginia. Dr. Romero also participated in the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Primary Health Care Policy Fellowship, and obtained a post-graduate degree.

Dr. Romero has had the opportunity to take part in many leadership roles within the medical community. She was the President of the Medical Society of Virginia, the Chief Medical Officer and Vice-President for Quality and Medical Affairs at Chesapeake Regional, and has held many other prominent positions throughout Hampton Roads and Virginia.

Dr. Romero has a strong reputation within the community and welcomes new patients to her practice. She joined TPMG Romero Family Practice Sept. 1, 2011, and relocated to TPMG Coastal Internal Medicine in July 2015.
