Printable Biography:

Karen L. Knudsen, MD, FACE, ECNU is a graduate of Yale University with a Bachelor of Science degree. She earned her Doctor of Medicine degree at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine in Farmington, Connecticut. Dr. Knudsen completed her internship and residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Connecticut Health System, and completed an Endocrine Fellowship at the University of Virginia.

Dr. Knudsen is board certified in Endocrinology and Internal Medicine, as well as Endocrine Certification in Neck Ultrasound (ECNU) by the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists. She performs ultrasound of the neck, as well as thyroid biopsies. She joined TPMG Endocrinology in Newport News on August 1, 2010.
