Dr. Karen L. Knudsen is board certified in Endocrinology and Internal Medicine, as well as Endocrine Certification in Neck Ultrasound by the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists. She has a special interest in adrenal and pituitary disorders, women’s health, thyroid and diabetes conditions. Dr. Knudsen also performs thyroid ultrasounds and biopsies in the office. She sees patients in Newport News on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday and at the Williamsburg Specialty Center in Williamsburg on Monday and Thursday.
Dr. Maricel Ridella is board certified in Endocrinology and Internal Medicine, as well as Endocrine Certification in Neck Ultrasound by the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists. Dr. Ridella’s clinical interests include the diagnosis and treatment of thyroid disease, osteoporosis, diabetes, adrenal and pituitary disorders. She has a special interest in the treatment of thyroid problems and metabolic bone disease, and performs thyroid ultrasounds and biopsies in the office. Dr. Ridella sees patients at the Newport News location.

Patients are seen by appointment. Please contact our Newport News office to schedule an appointment at either of our office locations. For after-hours attention, call (757) 595-4300 to receive recorded instructions.
New and Follow-up Appointments:
Please bring your insurance card(s), photo ID, a complete list of medications and specialist co-pay (if it applies) to your visit. All co-payments are due at the time of service.
Referrals:
If your insurance requires a specialist referral, please contact your primary care physician at least 3 days prior to your scheduled appointment.
Prescription Refills:
Prescription refill requests must be addressed at the time of your appointment. Any requests outside of this time will be addressed within 24 business hours.
