Dr. Jacob Almeida earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology in 2004 from the State University of New York, College at Geneseo, New York He earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree at Des Moines University, Iowa, in 2008.

Dr. Almeida’s post-graduate training includes an internship and residency in Internal Medicine as well as a Geriatric fellowship at Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk. From 2011 to 2012, he served as Assistant Chief Resident in Internal Medicine at EVMS.

Dr. Almeida is a member of the American College of Physicians and the American Geriatric Society. He joined TPMG Peninsula Internal & Geriatric Medicine on July 15, 2012.

His interests include caring for elderly patients with complex medical problems. He also enjoys caring for patients across the care continuum, seeing patients in the outpatient office, as well as during hospitalizations for acute medical problems and in nursing home and rehabilitation settings.
