Dr. Karen M. Hart earned her medical degree at the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond, Virginia in 1989, and completed her residency through Riverside Family Medicine Residency Program in 1992. She has practiced medicine in Washington and Rhode Island, and returned to her roots in Virginia, where she was born and raised.

Dr. Hart specializes in Family Medicine, and enjoys providing care and services to her patients, their family members and friends. She welcomes her loyal patients, as well as new patients to join her in continuing care at her new location in the Haygood Medical Center.

When she is not seeing patients, Dr. Hart enjoys spending quality time with her husband, two children and her German shepherd. She also enjoys reading and cooking, but her passion is spending time on the beach enjoying the sun and waves. Dr. Hart also volunteers her time teaching Sunday school to elementary age children, and is an active member of the local Garden Club.
