Geriatrics

Geriatrics is a sub-specialty of internal medicine and family medicine that focuses on the unique needs of the elderly person. Dr. Jacob Almeida aims to promote health by preventing and treating diseases and disabilities in older adults. As the body ages, the decline of various organ systems becomes manifest, and previous health issues and lifestyle choices produce a different constellation of diseases and symptoms. Dr. Almeida works to prevent and treat any diseases that are present, and to decrease the effects of aging on the body.

Dr. Almeida sees patients at TPMG Peninsula Internal & Geriatric Medicine, and works directly with the TPMG Hospitalist Division to offer the best quality and professional care to his patients.
